Paper Prototype

• The Big Idea: Describe your team's game topic. What is the most important concept you want your players to learn? I want the people who plays this game to learn, that if you are having problems with somebody you should talk to an adult.Who ever plays this game is going to learn how to protect or talk to your sister or brother about this things.

• Making Decisions as a Team: How did your individual ideas from "Imagining Your Game" come together for your team game topic? How did your team decide the topic? Well we decided how to pick our game by agreeing or disagreeing.My topic was about bees and that's an easy topic to do.We wanted it to be challenging for us.

• Roles & Responsibilities: Tell us more about your team process. Please each talk about your specific roles, and how you work together.Each one of us were coming up with all of our drawings and other stuff so what i did was to color the drawings.Andrea and Brendann were the ones who drew the characters and the other stuff.

• Research: What kind of research went into the way you will express the game topic?Brendann and me were searching for facts about suicide.And we were trying to see how did it happen.

• The User Experience: Explain the game play. What actions does the player take in the game? Has this changed since you first started planning your game? Why?First you choose a character then you got a little bit of time to find your brother or sister.If you don't find them then it would be to late.By the time you find them they would be dead.

• Mastering Flash: What Flash resources have been most helpful in your learning so far, and why? How did you locate these resources?Flash is kinda hard because sometimes the picture that you want wouldn't come out the way you wanted it.But sometimes it's easy because you don't have to make the circles or other shapes.

• Overcoming Challenges: What curriculum topic has been most difficult for you so far? How did you overcome this difficulty?Well first we had to look up how we draw stuff and it was difficult trying to find facts about suicide.

I design this game for the ages of 13-19 because this game might be hard for the little kids.I am writing my game for people who are in ages from 13- 19.The person who plays my game must be 13-19 because the game is hard.Since my game is about the passing the cars without exploding they need to know how the game is hard.My players from my topic are going to learn how to drive and just have fun.Well my game takes place at different places.

1.I actually learned that a lot of people were in trouble and that I haded to rescue them.It was kind of hard because the girl haves to give stuff to people.
2.I think that the designers new that people were traped and that the girl haded to rescue them.
3.I think that they were trying to make the levels harder and harder so the girl can help people faster.

Darfur is Dying

• What I learned about the game is that those people are suffering from the bad guys.And that some of the characters need to help the other people to rebuild their houses again.Some people got rapped and abuse by the mean people when they arrive to destroy their homes and take their animals and other stuff to.
• I think that the characters might be different from the others,because some of the characters are bold or have a little eye.And if I was a game designer I will change them.And it's telling me that how the characters are in the game it's telling me that they look like this today.
• The other reason is because some of the people lost their houses and they gotta build them again, and you gotta help with the planting crops and getting some.
• I think that it is because so we can help the people who are going to get killed by the mean people and so the president can send some food. because the mean people destroyed everything and the y even took their animals.So we can save the people the are still humans but from another country  or another place, and so people can care about them and given them support and show them that we care about them.

It did inspire me to learn more about the Darfur because it's just so interested about their lives and that I want to learn what the kids do for fun.And it inspired me that I'm even going to put the game in face book, and see if the people in face book liked the game.

Steve Jobs

Steve jobs was the creator of the apple computers and he invented Pixar he also invented, the i phone,i pad, and the i phone 4.Steve Jobs had cancer but the doctors did surgery and he lived 6-7 years.I have learned that he was important to the world and to every body.He was the one who invented the mouse.I  think that he is a inspiration to me because he invented computers, and if it wasn't for him we would not have all those stuff today.

Playing to learn

I learned the bones of our body in a cool game called "Learn the Bones" is like you can learn while you have fun at the same time.That game is pretty good and you can learn and have fun at the same time.Actually the game of the bones was improve because you learn bones.How did the student make all the bones move around?How did the student memorize all the bones in our body?

Playing to Learn

Playing to learn is another way to be learning things.Sometimes playing to learn is so fun and sometimes is boring.A lot of the students think that some of the games are just for playing but they are mistaking.There are new games that the 6,7,and 8 graders made.Playing to learn is fun they teach how to do a lot of things.Like for an example there is a game that teaches you how to help the community by cleaning up,that is my favorite game.

Be the Change

What I would like to do for service learning project is to clean up the forest or clean the community.If we do it would be helpful,because trash travels.Sometimes I want to go and clean the beach, and pick up all the trash,sometimes the trash gets into the ocean.If it goes to the ocean a lot of the sea animals can die.Also I want to go and help people to clean the community.Some of the people don't even care about the community so they just throw the trash, where ever they want.Only if we pick all the trash we will have a better community.I felt really bad not going to the service learning project,because I wanted to go and help the people clean up something.

Mini Game

Yes,the mini game was difficult for me.I had a difficult time making the characters move around.The best part of making the  mini game was when we could draw anything for our characters.The worst part of the mini game was when we haded to put all the codes in, and you haded to make it correctly or otherwise  the characters won't be moving.I had a difficult time doing all the codes.You haded to put all the codes were they belong and you haded to add stuff, but I haded to try my best.I kept trying until I got it.It was kinda hard of making the cat cheese and the mouse,but at least I tried.

Children of Heaven

Ali's family was poor,and they haven't paid rent for 5 months.They owe money to the grocery store .They are having problems with the money.Ali's family is honest kin,and they don't steal like other people do.One day Ali went to the shoe store o he can fix the shoes,when he went to the grocery store to buy potatoes he left the shoes outside,then a men came and thought that in the bag was trash.When Ali finished picking up the potatoes he was looking for the shoes and he dint find them.When Ali went home he's sister was really mad at him for loosing the shoes.She said that the shoes haddedto use them for school.Instead of going looking for them he let hi's sister barrow the shoes to school.It started to Ali be late for his class a lot of times.When Zahra was running to her house, the shoe fell in the waterand she couldn't get it.Then one day Zahra was at school she founded the shoes, al little girl was wearing them but she was a nice girl.Zahra was following the girl home.The little girl's dad was blind and she helps him to sell stuff.Ali and his father went to go and look for a job as gardening.He was paid a lot So he had enough money to buy some food.Then Ali wanted to be in a race.It said in a poster that third place will win a pair of snickers.When the race was beginig he was trying to be in third place but instead of being in third place he became in first place.He wasn't really happy,he was sad because he din't win third place.Ali promised Zahra that he was goingt o win in thir place  for the pair of snickers.When he was home Zahra thought that he won the pair os snickers but he din't.Then Ali's father bought them a pair of new shoes for each.

What Happend

September 11 is the important day ,because that's the day when the twin towers got hit.The twin towers and the pentagon got hit by airplanes.this happen by 15 people who attacked the pilot to the plane,and so he hit the twin towers and the pentagon.In each twin tower there was about 25,000 people,and about 3,000 people died the plane crash.There was about 500 planes that disappear from flying to places.Osama bin Laden was part of the plan that they were planing to crash the twin towers.The people who killed the pilots were so stupid to know that they were going to kill themselves.A lot of kids had written some letters to the firefighters that worked hard to get out the people who were in the twin tower.

A single story

"Single story",means like a place with information about the country's or city's place.Is like how do they dress,talk or communicate.Other states are different than other.Some people can talk in front of every body, or they can talk in  the T.V.I think that white people are richer than Mexican,because white people live in big houses.But I think that I'm mistaking because some African American and Mexican people live in big houses.Some white people can speak Spanish, some African Americana's can speak Spanish, and some Mexican people speak english.One day I  heard that Mexican people can't talk english because they are not smart and that they are stupid.A game can start out with white people and African American people being rude to each other.Then have Martin Luther King Jr give a speech, so white people can be friends with the African American people.

Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is bullying but it's on the internet.Cyberbullying can be hurtful to other peolpe.Some people can do a fake profile and can say mean stuff about you.Sometimes people can post comments and videos about you that it is not even real.If you are being cyberbullying by someone else don't be scared and tell a person.You can tell the principal, teacher, mom, even someone you can trust.Some people had died because of cyberbullying,and other people kill themselfes, because they are being so hurtful.DON'T BE AFAID OF ASKING AN TRUSTING ADULT TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR PROBLEM.

First Week Of School

The first week of school was awesome.It was awesome because I got to meet my new teachers, and I got to meet new students.At the first day of school I was't nervous at all because I have been in this school last year.The teachers are pretty cool last year.I was exited when I saw my friends.I was exited and nervous at the first week of school.

This Friday I am going to Schlitterbahn with my school.I think that my friends are going to have fun.Last year I went with my family.I hope that this time is not boring.I think that Schlitterbahn is the best waterpark ever.We are going to live from school at 7:30, and we are going to come back at 5:30.The gift shop is so big, because it haves a lot of stuff but it is so expensive.It's going to be so FUN!!!!!☺☺☺☺☺

Apollo 13

The movie that I watch was about three men who go to space.They didn't actually made it to the moon,because something part of the space ship exploded.When they breathe the carbon dioxide didn't know were to go so if they didn't get rid of the carbon doixide then they will die.After a while they were trying to figure out how to get them back to earth safely.Kim was trying to do all he's best to bring them back.When they were running out of oxygen the people were trying to find out another way to get rid of the carbon dioxide.After all that Kim figure out to get back to earth.When Jack did all those stuff they landed in the ocean safe and sound.They were so happy that they thought that they were gonna die.

Percy's class went to a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Nancy got mad ,and the water pulled Nancy.Then Nancy blamed it to Percy.Then when he got in trouble hes's teacher turned into a monster.Then the teacher in the weel chair got out a pen,and turned it into a sword.Then Percy catch it and sliced the teacher and sand came out of her body.

This Weekend☺☻!!

Last weekend I went a sweet 15.So after school on friday my family and I went to go and buy some clothes and shoes.When it was the big day of the party we were all changed and started to be on our way.The place was so far away that I fell asleep.When we were there we saw a lot of decorations.The tables were decorated with a bowl that had a fish in there.I was surprised that it had a fish in the table.When we ate the sweet 15 was about to begin.The sweet 15 girl was named Valentina.She had a Hawii party.It was so colorful.After she danced with her dad it was time to,PARTY!!!!.I had a lot of fun and plus I was dancing.There was inglish music to,so I started dancing.The sweet 15 was so,AMAZING!!!!☺☺

My game is finished(Hopefully)

My game wasn't finished but at least I worked really hard on it.I thought I was going to finish it but I didn't.At least I learned a lot of stuff.Like for an example I learned how to upload things from ther wiki,I learned how to make things how to move and how to stop.We even created our own game and it was kinda difficult to be following all of the steps.But at least I did part of my game,it was kinda fun doing it.My game wasn't perfect but I liked it.Every time I couldn't do something in my game I get so fustreated.Some people don't care about the prices but I do because I did a lot of work.While I was making/creating the game I had fun.☺☻

My Weekend

This Weekend I went to a party, it was my little cousins.His party was at a park Moya and it was big.When we got there we ate.The food was good there was,rice,ranch beans,meat,macarroni,and menudo.The food was so delicius but I really liked the ranch beans.After that my favorite cousin arrived with water guns.Her name is Mckayla and her sisters name is Camila.So we filled our water guns and we were wetting our boy cousin Ernesto.After playing we broke the pinata and then ate cake.The cake flavor was chocolate,hmmmm my favortie.Then we went home and we had a good time.It was so Fun!!!☺☻☺☻

Stand and Deliver

We were watching a movie called Stand and Deliver.The movie was about a teacher that was teaching math.He was preparing the children for the difficult exam for high school.At first time when all the students were already finish the people who check the tests,they thought that they were cheating.But the truth was that they didn't cheat so they wanted to take the test again and they pass.They were so exited and not guilty about what the people think that they were cheating.

iPad for Kids

I think that is unfair that we don't have iPad's the 6 graders, and the 2 graders get to have the iPad's.If we have iPad's then we won't have to use the computers to be doing our wiki.It will be so cool if we get some iPad's for the 6 graders and 7 graders.We can use the iPad's to study write,and be reading in it to.The 2 graders are so lucky by getting iPad's.When the 2 graders are studying the can be drawing pictures for the problems.So that's my opinion for the 2 graders having iPad's.

Game Demo

What I learn about Demo is that, I learned how to put my game together.Like levels and how to put the Demo in the wiki.Something elses that I learned is that I haded to fill up all the information that was asking you.I also learned that everytime it haves another page like it's flipping I got to write in there.Like for an example it asked me who is the game that I'm, doing is for.So it asked me a of those questions in Demo.

What game I like

The game that I haved been playing a lot is called Blooms.What you have to do in Blooms is that you have to pop the balloon's that are trying to get in a castle or in a place.But first you have to get some weapons,like for an example bombs or a monkey that pop's the balloons.You got 100 life's until the balloon's destroy you.When the weapons are popping the balloons that mans that you are getting money.Sometimes if you want to buy more weapons is like you are wasting your money.

This week I had learn how to drag and drop game.We haded to upload the game to the wiki.Then we have to finish our game then you can play it.At first time it was frustrating but I didn't quit on trying it.When i get frustrating a lot I just keep on trying and I don't give up.

A visit from the president OBAMA

I would really like if the president of United States will come (Obama,her girls ,and her wife).It will be so gladly if Obama let her girls stay in East Austin College Prep Academy (EACPA). I want Obama to came to this school ,because he can tell us what is good and what is bad.Like he can tell us why not be in a gang and be smart about that.He can tell us that why is grades and your attitude so important.So that's why I want President Obama coming to our school.

Blogging about Blogging.

I think that is a good idea blogging because we can type faster,and you don't have to check your spelling.The other reason is because it is faster than writing on a piece of paper.Writing in a piece of paper is diffucult because you need to check your own spelling.And sometimes you  don't now how to spell a word , and you are thinking that is difficult.So that's why blogging is better than writing in a piece of paper.

The name of the school is Bronx center ,and it's a chatter school.The school is in New York.The principal is talking with a student.Rashat dropped out of school righy after he talked to the  principal.The principal told him that he is trying to get him ready for college.But the problem was that Rashat is always in drugs.

Cool Math Games

The game that I was playing Bloons 2.Blonns 2 helps me with my balloon game.The hole reason that I was playing that game because you get to pop.You get to pop the balloon's until you ran out life's.That's the same thing as my balloon game.So that's why I was playing that game.

The Wizard

The wizard movie was about ,two brothers and a girl to go to La's Angela's.Jimmy and Cory are traveling to California.Cory and Jimmy are brothers but they live together.So Jimmy lives foster home ,and Cory lives with his dad.At the gas station Cody and Jimmy met a girl.She said that she wasn't scared at anything.Jimmy doesn't talk that much,because he lost his sister Jennifer.Cory said that she got to close to the river and she fell and she droned.

Plans For Spring Brake

This spring break I'm going to go to the Rodeo Carnival.I'm going to the carnival with my friend Yennifer H.We are going to have a lot of fun in cool rides.The problem is that we don't when are we going to go.The bracelet cost $25.00 dollars but we are still going to have fun.OMG is going to be fun.!!☺☻☺☻

When I grow up I want to get married with a good men that respects me and,that works hard.I also want a man that likes kids and that likes to go to the mall.I don't really care if his ugly I just care about his personality.Like if he as mean I wound't like him.So I just want  men that haves a lot of cemmen with me,and that he shows me that he loves me.♥☻☺

My Paper Prototype

Making a paper prototype it helep me with my game idea,because I drew it in a piece of paper and it helped me see all of the design.It was kinda hard because I needed a lot of designs that it will help kids get their attention,that they think that is going to be fun.Sometimes is easy because you can come up with easy design drawing.First you can draw your paper prototype,so it can help you imagining your game.Making a picture out of different colors,and different persanality.I think that working in a paper prototype was fun and cool.☺☻☺☻

Students Choice

I will right about my weekend.Tomorrow I will come to tutoring and go to the U.T.  explorer.I'm going to wake up at 6:00 A.M.My mom is going to drop me of.We are going to learn about math and reading.I want to pass the TAKS Test .So I'm going to tutoring with Ms. Estrada.

My game is about balloons.The number of the factor is 40.All of the numbers are in a balloon.When are putting all of the balloons in the basket,you are winning points,but if you put a number that is not multiple to 40,all of the balloons will pop,and you will lose points.That's my factor game.

Malcom X

Afican american were listening to Malcolm X, talking about Jesus.Malcolm X was saying that the African American got beat up just for no reason,and because they refuse nthe police man.The African American people got beat up with sticks.             Malcolm X was sayinga lot of speeches ,because the white people got beat up justy for no reason.Some African American people sent Malcolm X house on fire .And he does not now who set his house in fire The people  who wants to kill MalcolmX, keep calling his family .In the speech the bad guys were there,and they shot him a lot of times.

My Opinion

My opinion of all of the computers,technology,and video games,I think that it had change a lot,because I was exited of being at the computer.At first time I thought that we were going to study and.Not play games and wath a lot of videos.But it had change a lot because I thought that I was going to do a big mistake.Today I don't fell nervous so I fell free and use the computers.

Drag and Drop Mini Game

What I did for my mini game idea is, that I drew ballons and I drew a basket.If you chose the wrong number, than you got to start all over.By the time you put the factor number in the basket,the basket will get bigger.So that's my mini game idea.

Mad Hot Ballroom

The movie was about kids dancing.The kids were talking about the competition.Know the blue team are dancing with other dancers.When they finished dancing, the judges decided who is going to win.So the judges were telling the other dancers to step in front the other Judges,because those dancers became 2, 3,and 4 place.So the blue team got 3 place.So the judges told the  blue team that they are going to compete,in the finals.When it was time for the final competition.The blue team danced better than the other team.When it was time for the judges to announce the winner they haded  to dance again.When the judges had finished the counts.The judge announce the winners for the gold medal,the blue team won.They were so exited that they won.

The movie that we watch was called Malcom X.Is about the African American are talking about Jesus,like what was his color.A African American man got beat up,because he refuswe the policeman of what to do.So the African American got beat up with a stick.

Movie!

The movie that we watch is about dancing.There are a lot of children that they have dancing lessons.And the boys are talking about how the girls act in front of them.The boys said that the girls want to dance with the boys they want to dance with.So they practice a lot for the competition with other students, that had being practicing.

What I thought of working with Sydney?Was that she was a great team.She was the one who came out with the ideas.Sometimes she was absent so I haded to do it by my self,and it was kinda difficult but I still did it.Sydney colerd the pictures that I drew,and she worked really hard on the work.Sydney sometimes worked by herself,because I yust to talk allot with other people,and that's why I think about Sydney of a great partner.PS:She is a great person.

My week in class

What I did in class this week is that we were making pictures for uor game idea.And we were makin a group picture for our wiki.After that I wrote a game idea paragraph,while my other partner was making the picture.Our game idea is called Child abuse.Yesterday we were making plans of how our game is going to work.It was kinda hard of with what we were going to move the persons.

MY FUN WINTER BREACK!!!

My winter brake was so fun.When we were celebrating Christmas Eve,my family and me went to my uncles ranch to go and celebrate it over there.The first thing that we did was to eat we were eating menudo,tamales,and we drank champurriado.That drink is like coffee but they put cinnamon.Then my cousins and I went to play outside for a little wile.When it was time to go inside we opened all of our presents.What I got was a Mp3 player,a camera,and allot of clothes.When it was time to leave we took a family photo with my new camera.When Christmas already passed we went to my aunt house to celebrate New years.First we did we went to go and buy allot of cool fireworks.When it was 12:00 we were popping the fireworks,and we almost set the whole grass in fire.But I haded a good time.When we were at winter break I missed the school and friends .I had the best winter breack ever!!=]
